What companies are eligible to submit entries?
Public or private non-governmental entities representing any business or industry sector.
What are the eligibility requirements?
Eligible companies must:
Be headquartered in
South Carolina
Have been in operation for at least three full fiscal years
Have reported revenues of at least $3 million ($50 million in assets for financial
institutions) in the most recent reported year. Company rankings will be based on the
growth between the most recently completed fiscal year at the time of nomination
and the two years prior (e.g. growth from year completed 12/31/08 and 12/31/09).
Revenue and employment figures reported must be within South Carolina ONLY.
Note: Financial information provided is used only for ranking purposes only and is
held in confidence by The Capital Corporation.
What is required and how will entries be evaluated?
Eligible companies must complete a nomination form, which includes three years of
revenue/asset and employment information along with some basic company information.
Submittals will be compiled, evaluated for completeness and ranked by a review panel from
The Capital Corporation. The Capital Corporation will tabulate the South Carolina's
Fastest Growing Companies list based solely on responses received.
Rankings will be determined by using a weighted equation of increase in gross revenues
(or assets) and increase in full-time employees. Revenues and employment figures must be
for South Carolina only.
