NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR SOUTH CAROLINA’s FASTEST GROWING COMPANIES 2010 STATEWIDE, S.C., May 11, 2010 – Nominations are now being accepted for South Carolina’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2010, the acclaimed annual program which recognizes the achievements of South Carolina’s top-performing private and publicly-owned companies. The 2010 program includes slight adjustments to ranking criteria to allow organizations hit hard in 2009 by the national economy’s downturn to be eligible and compete. Now in its ninth year, the exclusive ranking honors the achievements of the fastest-growing companies across the state for their numerous contributions to South Carolina's economy. New for 2010 is a shift in the closely-guarded ranking system to allow “organizations with a strong track record of success, but which may have experienced unusual difficulty in 2009 due to the national economy’s downturn, to remain competitive in the program,” noted Dan Adams, chairman of The Capital Corporation, presenting sponsor of South Carolina’s Fastest-Growing Companies.
