Greenville SC- Ethics in Business: An Oxymoron? Over 140 business leaders and academics came together for an Ethics in Business Forum sponsored
by The Capital Corporation, Clemson University, USC Upstate and the Greenville
Chamber of Commerce to give voice to a growing concern over mounting statistics
that show a decline in ethical behavior of of students and today's workforce. "While there is an altruistic vein to creating ethical businesses, there is also
a monetary one. There is a correlation between strong ethics and profits, said
E.L Mont, a principal with The Capital Corporation “There is no greater tool to
establishing success than to have ethics in business,” he said. Leadership is
key, Mont said. Ethics won’t grow in a workplace where it isn’t fostered. And
