Our Team

   C. DAN ADAMS is a co-founder, President and CEO of The Capital Corporation and has over 20 years experience in finance.  Dan works with both Mergers & Acquisitions and Financing and specializes in restaurant, health care, manufacturing, service and waste industries. Before he founded The Capital Corporation, Dan worked with C&S National Bank for 12 years. 
 
A graduate of University of South Carolina and the Banking School of the South at Louisiana State University, Dan holds designations as Master Merger and Acquisition Intermediary (MMAI) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
 
Dan also serves as a Director of First National Bank of the South and is a board member of several privately held companies in the southeast.  He also serves as current President of the South Carolina Investor’s Network (SCIN).
 
In addition to his role as CEO of The Capital Corporation, Dan has either control investments or minority interest in a number of privately held companies including Integrity Funding, First Home Insurance Services, Lorraine Enterprises, and Capital Business Funding.
 

  HEARON McCRAVY is a co-founder of The Capital Corporation.  Prior to that, he spent 22 years working in commercial credit and lending with C&S National Bank honing a customer-oriented business philosophy that allows him to specialize in custom commercial lending, sales, acquisitions and underwriting.
 
Hearon has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Wofford College, has studied at the Sorbonne in France, and completed graduate work at the University of South Carolina. 
 
He is involved in a number of civic activities including The United Way, Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and the Spartanburg County Planning Commission.

 ALAN D. AUSTIN works with both the Mergers and Acquisition Division and the Financing Division of The Capital Corporation and specializes in Manufacturing, Business Services, Health Care Services, Media/Telecommunications and Aviation/Aerospace industries.
 
Alan’s diverse experience has allowed him to develop a unique perspective and find creative solutions to properly structure mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions for middle market companies. 
 
Prior to joining The Capital Corporation, Alan’s career included positions as a commercial lender with C & S National Bank of South Carolina, Assistant Treasurer of a private equity-owned healthcare products company, and Corporate Treasurer of the NASDAQ-listed diversified media company, Multimedia, Inc. 
 
Alan is a graduate of Furman University and The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware.  He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the South Carolina Investor’s Network (SCIN) and has a private pilot certificate.
 
 

  TERRY COLEMAN joined The Capital Corporation after a long career as a Regional Analyst with multi-state banks and as commercial lender with a national SBA-guaranteed lending company. 
 
With additional experience in computer programming and business finance, Terry has a broad range of skills that allow him to focus on business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, custom financing, and producing strategic memorandums for client companies.
 
Terry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accounting from Clemson University as well as an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming from Greenville Technical College. He is currently a candidate to receive a designation of Certified Business Intermediary from the International Business Brokers Association.
 
He is a past member of Robert Morris Associates, the National Association of Credit Managers and a current member of the International Business Brokers Association.
 

  JULIAN CRAWFORD Brings an extensive network and broad experience in International Markets. A native of England, Julian has 15 years of international and executive experience with German, Japanese, British, and American companies. Julian spent five years working  for Hoechst  in the UK followed by four years in their German headquarters as European Strategic Planning Manager, where his responsibilities included financial management, marketing, business re-engineering and turnaround strategies.
 
 In 1999, Julian moved to the United States with Johns Manville Monofilament to lead a newly acquired division as Sales & Marketing Manager.  Julian went on to become Vice President of Strategy when it was acquired by  Japanese chemical company Teijin becoming Teijin Monofilament U.S.
 
Over the past three years, Julian has worked with a regional CPA firm as Director of Management Consulting and M&A. His industry knowledge and technical understanding and extensive network  have played an important role in a number of foreign and domestic  transactions, particularly in cases where the business value required clear articulation.
 
Julian received his  B.A. in  Economics from the University of Sheffield in the UK and attended The Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK. He is fluent in German.
 
 

    REGINALD GREINER has spent over 10 ten years in the private equity and corporate finance world. His vast experience within private equity markets has enabled him to form many relationships and opportunities for his clients.
 
Previously,  Mr. Greiner was an Associate with UBS in their Strategic investment group (SIG) and Private Equity Groups.  He served as Vice President within Rare Medium Group's Venture Practice focusing on Telecom and Wireless Business Ventures and Investments. Reg works with both Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity Division.

Mr. Greiner holds a B.S. degree in finance from Siena College and has completed Thesis work at Georgetown University and American University where he was a Presidential Scholar. He is Board advisor to the Young Venture Capitalists Society, and an active Judge and Advisor to the UNC Keenan-Flagler VCIC Program.
 

  MICHAEL KILBOURNE comes to the Capital Corporation with more than 25 years of senior financial management experience.
 
 As the Chief Financial Officer for both publicly and privately held companies, Michael was directly responsible for traditional financial management roles and Merger & Acquisition, Capital Markets and Strategic Planning activities for a variety of middle-market companies.
 
Michael received his B.S. in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy from Virginia Tech and has extensive experience in a variety of industries. Michael heads our Winston-Salem office.
 

   E. L. MONT has more than 15 years of comprehensive experience working with middle market and Fortune 500 companies including media, telecommunication, technology, consumer products and service-based businesses.  Before joining The Capital Corporation, he was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan Securities and most recently a CEO of a news media company. 
 
His entrepreneurial and professional deal-making gives E.L. a solid foundation and expertise for assisting middle-market business owners with their exit strategies, as well as obtaining optimum value for their companies.
 
E. L. received his MBA from the University of California Haas School of Business at Berkeley, where he was a Haas Fellow. He holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University. E.L. also has a NASD Series 7 General Securities license and speaks conversational Portuguese.

   GEORGE E. MOSELEY, ESQ. has been a corporate attorney for more than 30 years, directing hundreds of acquisitions, divestitures and financing.  Prior to joining The Capital Corporation, George held positions as General Counsel for a NYSE company, Corporate Secretary for a NASDAQ-listed company, and Secretary and General Counsel for a privately-held firm. 
 
George’s extensive legal expertise benefits all areas of The Capital Corporation, but is particularly valuable in mergers and acquisitions where he supervises due diligence and manages all outside counsel.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a law degree from Wake Forest University.
 

  BILL NEELY has been a principal with The Capital Corporation since 1992 focusing on mergers and acquisitions and financing. Though he concentrates on the North and South Carolina markets he is also active in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
 
In his 37 year banking career, Bill has worked in commercial and community banking, the boating manufacturing industry, and has done consulting and seminars for clients.
                            
Bill has an MBA from Winthrop University and has taught at the school for over 10 years. He served on the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation and its executive committee for 15 years. He is a founder of the Rock Hill Sports Commission sponsoring events such as the Women's ACC Basketball Championships, Men's ACC Baseball Tournament, Tour DuPont and was responsible for bringing the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas game to the state for the first time in 2001. Bill heads our Rock Hill office.
 

 CRISTINA SCHLEIFER is a seasoned veteran of communications with over 20 years experience executing quality marketing initiatives with specialty in marketing communications, event management, public relations and product development/launch.
Prior to joining The Capital Corporation, Cristina was President and CEO of Luz de Luna Marketing, a company she founded in 2000. She was a founding member of the Nuevo Latino Investment Corp. and was one of three founding partners of a successful internet company, GetLocalBiz.com.
 
Cristina's entrepreneiral history has resulted in an in-depth marketing perspective that truly understands the challenges faced by our clients.
Cristina, a native of Cuba recieved her B.A. from Emory University, and is fluent in Spanish.

  SCOTT WOMACK comes to The Capital Corporation as a former Senior Executive experienced in leading successful turnarounds, high growth and start-up companies.
 
As President and Chief Financial Officer of Linq Industrial Fabrics, Scott led the company from an operating loss in 1999 to profitability in 2001 and 2002 and assisted in the divestiture of two companies. His 25 years of experience and knowledge in the financial area includes loan negotiations, dealing with leverage buyouts, purchasing of private organizations, and raising capital in the private equity segment.His expertise in manufacturing aggressively reduced costs and integrated strategic and operating plans across functional areas, including marketing, financial, manufacturing and product development. His experience brings valuable representation to clients who need understanding of these crucial areas within any transaction.
 
Scott graduated from Wake Forest University with an MBA after graduating from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
